your corner store computer shop for cheap repair. I personally,
would not recommend that because driving your computer and take
out all the cables is just a crazy task to do. For computer, it
make way better sense to have a technician drop by and repair right

drop a computer for a store to repair. Make sure they change no
"parts" without demonstrate to you why it is broken and
consult with you. Some store, take advantage of people don't know
computer by giving out a low repair rate and when you pick up your
computer. They change many components on your computer and ask for
a high bill.

Elegance Computer - They are best of the best. Very friendly,
honest people that you can count on. And of course, their price
is really good.
Warning!! Many big
retailers are selling their warranties for their hardware. I have
many reports and clients told me, they don't honor their warranty.
When problems occur, they simply tell you to contact manufacturers
yourself or want to charge money by creating reasons why it is not
cover. And in all cases, you need to wait "SEVERAL WEEKS"
before you get your service. You need to fight to get what you paid
for. There are so many new clients on the market, they don't care
about stay true to their integrity. Some even try to sell warranty
on non-rechargeable batteries!? Are they out of their mind? Imagine
a day, grocery store try to sell warranty on apples?
With all computer
related equipments, make sure you buy "NO EXTRA WARRANTY."
Do not pre-paid for problems when all big retailers have bad service
history and compliants!! I heard way more horror stories than 1
or 2 happy stories. Even smart technican like myself, once was a
victim of their "extended warranty program". They recognize
your money, don't recognize your face.
Keep Your PC CLEAN
One more thing!! Once your computer
is clean and fixed, I recommend following tips. If you can keep
your computer clean in first place, I guranatee you never have to
pay a penny to virus related repair for 100 years!!

To Do To keep Computers Clean
1. Password Your Computer - You got to keep away kids,
teenagers from borrowing your computer. They are high risk users
and they attract virus and spyware to your computer.
2. Avoid 3G - Girl, Gambling & Games related websites
will bring Virus and Spyware into your system.
3. Avoid P2P - There are a lot of free download. Free
music, free movies and free software through P2P file sharing
network. Peer to Peer. You must AVOID using those programs because
they will attract a lot of virus and spyware. And slow down your
computer and make it crash often. SERIOUS
Warning!
4. You must get a Routers - Instead of Using software
firewall that Windows, Norton and Mcfee are providing, YOU MUST
get a physical firewall by putting a Router before your modem.
Router is a Internet sharing and firewall device that blocks hackers
and virus getting into your computer. And best, it won't slow
down your computer. We recommend D-link
routers for the fact that it is easier to setup and less trouble
to shoot.
5. Avoid e-mail attachments - There are a lot of boring
people out there keep forwarding so call "funny pictures,
funny videos, funny stories" to their friends and family.
Those stuff in my mind is not funny at all because every attachment
is possible to be a virus. Unless it's very important for your
business or for your school you must DELETE ALL attachments.

RECOMMEND NOT TO
DO
1. Windows Update - I'm sorry. But I totally against Windows
Update for the reason that when you buy a product from a company.
It is supposed to work. For example, when you buy a Honda Civic,
would you bring back your car to Honda and do a lot of factory
recall on faulty parts every MONTH! When I buy a car, I want to
choose a car that doesn't have factory recall. Also, during the
Windows Update process, a lot of conflicts, could occur. Your
privacy is also an issue. The automatic Windows Update? That is
even worst. It is downloading whole bunch of stuff in the back
ground all the time. If you have light speed Internet, it will
totally slowing down your connection. I have many customers "after"
the windows update, all kinds of problems starting to occur. It's
hard to believe, but true. Windows update doesn't protect you
from attacks and viruses. What can really protect you from attack
is keep your computer using habit CLEAN. Absolutely no PORN and
GAMBLING!!
2. Norton Antivirus - I'm sorry. Despite everyone is using,
I must say that Norton is ineffective. Not only, it slow down
your system. It can not SOLVE your virus problem. Let's say, you
got a virus and your computer is acting up. Norton can not solve
the problem. I have seen this same problem repeating every day
for hundreds of time. What really keep computer from virus is
my Recommended
To Do list above. Just because you paid money for it,
doesn't mean it is going to work. A lot of time remedies that
are free can work better than those paid one. Finally if Norton
works, we wouldn't be in business!!
3. Direct Connection to the Internet - Your computer must
put behind a router. Whatever you can do not have direct connection
to the Internet. By exposing your computer to the Internet directly,
you don't even have to touch your computer and virus will get
in on its own.
4. Use Internet Exploer to browse the Internet - I personally
like IE. But only problem is that it is such a target. Every hacker
in the world want to hack it. It become a high risk browser to
surf the net. Instead of using Internet exploer, using Firefox
as alternative is much a better solution.
5. Sending funny e-mails, videos, pictures to friends
- There are a lot of people on the Internet like to send funny
things in emails to friends and family. I recommend not to do
that because a virus programmer use same strategy to gain access
to computers.

Helpful Computer Tips
Backup your data!! If you are
rich, buy a laptop computer and backup your data from your desktop
to your laptop. I recommend people use GoodSync
program to do automatic one click back up. Now, you can do it manually
if you like. However, if you are on a budget, I recommend you buy
a USB Drive something with 1 to 4 GB on it. Save your data onto
those USB Drives once a month. Now, if you really don't want to
spend money, at least use your CD Burner, to burn your important
document and photo on to CDs once in a while!! And finally, if you
are wild like me, I recommend you have many kinds of back up device
all working together!! Take
