Q: Whenever I boot, I get error message of symevnt.386
or NAV Auto-Protect and the computer asked me to reinstall Norton
Antivirus.
Answer: This is a common problems when people uninstall Norton
Antivirus. Norton simply didn't do a good job in their programming.
You can't possibly uninstall the program and not get the error message.
To fix this problem, you have to go to start -> Run and then
type in "regedit" and from there you can delete all the
word that has "Norton" by using the "CTRL" +
"F" command. Once you get that, just keep pressing F3
to find next one. So once all the Norton Registry is deleted. There
will be no more error messages.
